General information

Educational programs for Bachelor’s degree

  1. «Applied physics and nanomaterials» (4 years of study):
    • medical technology and data analysis;
    • microwave engineering and photonics;
    • nanophysics and nanoelectronics;
    • plasma technologies and surface nanostructures.
  2. «Computer engineering» (4 years of study):
    • computer systems and networks engineering.
  3. «Telecommunications and radio engineering» (4 years of study):
    • information security of telecommunication systems and networks.

Educational programs for Master’s degree

  1. «Applied physics and nanomaterials» (2 years of study):
    • applied physics and nanomaterials;
    • biomedical physics, engineering and informatics.
  2. «Computer engineering» (2 years of study):
    • computer systems and networks.
  3. «Telecommunications and radio engineering» (2 years of study):
    • information security of telecommunication systems and networks.

The approximate number of places of state order for budgetary education is 90 places on applied physics, 75 places on computer engineering, 17 places on radio engineering, and 40 places on radio engineering (based on a junior specialist diploma).

Extra points: participants of International Olympiads, the prize-winners of the IV stage of the All-Ukrainian student Olympiad and prize-winners of the III stage of the All-Ukrainian defence competitions of research works of the students, members of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, from the profile disciplines that have taken place in the current academic year, are given 10 points to the competition credits, and if the competition credits of the entrant exceeds 200, it is set to 200. The list of basic subjects for which extra points are added is given in Appendices 2.7 and 2.8 of the Entry Rules.

Professionally oriented youngsters, who graduated from the preparatory department of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv based on the full secondary education, also get extra points on the results of the final certification (from 10 to 20). The list of specialities is given in Appendix 2.3 of the Entrance Rules.

The winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which is held in the current academic year, receive extra points (up to 20) when applying on the basis of complete general secondary education.

The final score balances on the sectoral (SC) and rural (RC) coefficients by multiplying it by their multiplication, moreover: SC equals 1,03 for submitted applications with priority 1 on the specialty (specialization), which are provided in Appendix 2.9 of the Entrance Rules, and 1,00 in other cases; RC equals 1,02 for those, who registered in rural settlements that have received a full general secondary education in educational institutions located in the territory of rural settlements in the year of entry, and 1,00 in other cases.

The categories of persons with a need of special conditions for higher education by state order and at the expense of targeted state-level public loans based on the full secondary education are given in Appendix 2.10 of the Entry Rules.
